Support   c-pod    Using c-pod with SuperLab 6

How It Works

You can send event markers by creating an event of type “Digital Output” and selecting your particular c-pod model as the output device:

The Connection

In order to send event markers from a computer running SuperLab 6 to c-pod:

  • You need to install the USB driver.
  • Use a provided USB cable to connect the computer to c-pod’s connector.

Sending Your First Event Marker

As a first step, it is important to verify that SuperLab is able to communicate with your EEG software, e.g. Acknowledge or LabChart. To do so, in the Event Editor’s Stimulus tab:

  • Set “Pulse duration” to 500 milliseconds
  • Set “Inter-pulse interval” to 200 milliseconds
  • Set “Repeat pulse” to 10 times
  • Turn on all the checkboxes labeled L0 through L7 in SuperLab 6

Making the changes above allows you to send a train of 10 longer pulses, and on all lines, making it easier to troubleshoot.

Now click on the Test Now button. The blue triangle light on c–pod should light up. If it does, then this confirms that the USB driver is installed correctly and that SuperLab is able to communicate with c-pod. Your EEG software should also be able to “see” event markers coming from c-pod.
