c-pod works seamlessly with Magstim EGI GES / Net Amps systems.
c-pod plugs directly into your EGI equipment:
It draws its power from your computer via USB. c-pod delivers 8 bits of event markers reliably and asynchronously.
To avoid noisy signals, each of the eight output lines on c-pod for Magstim EGI is optically isolated, delivering a high quality signal.
A typical event marker is sent by changing the voltage on a wire from 0 to 5 volts. The signal wire and a ground wire connect sender and receiver directly:
Trouble arises when electrical “noise” is introduced from nearby sources, typically motors or fluorescent lighting. Optical isolation stops this noise in its tracks. It prevents electricity from flowing directly by illuminating an LED and placing a photosensor in front of it:
c-pod for Magstim EGI contains eight optical isolation chips, one for each line.
Events markers appear in Net Station software as DINs near the top of the window.
Cedrus offers two other solutions that offer more options:
StimTracker adds marking of visual stimuli, auditory stimuli, participant responses, and support for multiple outputs.
A combination of response pad and m-pod adds support for marking key presses, onset of vocal responses, and onset of visual stimuli using an optional light sensor.

To order c-pod, see this page and select “c-pod for EGI”.
For connecting to GES 300, 400, or newer systems, a Hypertronics-to-DB9 cable is required. This is typically including with your Magstim EGI installation. You can also order it from Cedrus.
c-pod can also be ordered directly from one of Cedrus’ international distributors.
