My apologies for the delay in following up.

In our last call, you asked some questions about the lifetime of the ambient lighting. In summary: no, if LEDs go out, you won’t have to replace the whole thing.

From Kryptonite:

The LED strips are easy to install. Each strip comes with heavy‑duty 3M adhesive tape on the base. When removing defective strips, some cleaning may be required to clear any leftover glue. Other than that, the process is straightforward.

The average lifespan of the LEDs is approximately 50,000 hours. The warranty is one year.

In the meeting, you had also asked about white LEDs. The ambient light profile does not include white LEDs. It is limited to RGB lights which can produce various colors but not a true, true white. Adding white LEDs would involve additional costs, as it requires extra power filters, power supplies, a different remote controller, and LED amplifiers. If it’s just for cleaning purposes, I suggest the color can be set to yellow.

Replacing a lighting strip costs $2000.
