This is how it works.

PUBLISH

Select Publish, set some options. That’s it. SuperLab will upload your experiment and give you an ID.

GET PARTICIPANTS

Share with your participants the task ID and a link to the Task Player page. After they download the app and run the experiment, the collected data is uploaded to your SuperLab Cloud account.

RECEIVE DATA

Literally. When the experiment ends, SuperLab Cloud will send you a .ZIP file containing all collected data.

You can also view data at any time with Data Viewer by simply entering the experiment ID.

It Is Really That Simple

When you publish an experiment, there is only one required setting: the duration of the experiment; other settings are optional.

When participant downloads Task Player, there is only one thing that they can do: enter the experiment ID.

Cedrus made this simplicity possible by designing robust backend server software and building it atop robust hardware: Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Management Tools Built Into SuperLab

A Cloud Dashboard is included where you can:

  • Manage your subscription
  • View progress on all published experiments
  • Download data
  • Assign delegates

All straight from within SuperLab.

Share Your Subscription

A SuperLab Cloud subscription comes with three “delegates”. These can be students or colleagues. Every delegate gets the same features: he or she can publish experiments and get data.

We made it super easy: type or paste the email addresses and specify duration. That’s it. SuperLab then automatically emails everyone their account credentials.

Additional delegates can be purchased at low cost.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. I use Windows. If I publish an experiment, can Mac users run it?

Yes. And vice versa: an experiment published on a Mac can be ran by participants using Windows.

Important: you still need to test your experiment on both platforms before publishing it. There are some differences that must be taken into consideration such as fonts, font sizes, audio file formats, and video file formats.

Q. Is there a size limit on experiments?

A cloud subscription includes 5GB of storage. This is not shared by delegates. There is no size limit on a given experiment.

Q. Is there a limit on the number of experiments or participants?

No. The only limit is the 5GB of storage mentioned above. You can publish as many experiments that you want and have all the participants you need.

Q. Is there a size limit for my delegate accounts? any other limits?

Each delegate gets his or her own 1GB of storage allocation. They get all the same features that a subscriber gets except the ability to assign to other delegates.

Q. Can the participant be kept anonymous?

Yes. When you publish an experiment, there is an option to prompt for a participant’s name and email. A participant can still choose to not provide that information. When the collected data is uploaded to your Cloud account, no personal identifying information is included.

Q. Is your cloud server reliable?

Yes, very reliable. We use Amazon Web Services rather than our own servers for better uptime.
