Support    StimTracker    “TTL Output” Pin Assignments (Quad model only)

Summary

For applications where a data recorder is not supported by m-pod, the StimTracker Quad model includes a “TTL Output” connector that is useful for custom solutions.

The Connector

The “TTL Output” connector is a commercially available Mini-DIN8 connector. For your convenience, Cedrus offers a mating 6 foot cable. The wires on one end are stripped and dipped in solder to make soldering them easier.

Pin Assignments

With m-pod, a signal can be assigned to an output pin. The “TTL Output” connector does not have the same flexibility, but to maximize the usefulness of the available 8 pins, StimTracker Quad uses a “logical OR” approach, meaning that a pin can indicate a USB output bit -OR- another event marker.

The table below describes the pin assignments. The Wire Color column refers to the color of the individual wire described above; ignore it if using a different cable.
