Support    StimTracker 1G    Installing StimTracker USB Driver for Windows

Installing a USB driver is needed if and only if you want to send to StimTracker event codes via USB. Installing a USB driver is not necessary if StimTracker is detecting the onset of a visual or auditory stimulus directly (via light sensor or built-in audio pass-through).

The USB drivers work with Windows XP or later.

USB Driver Installation

With your StimTracker connected to the PC’s USB port, turn it on. In most cases, Windows will automatically prompt you to find and install the USB driver.

However, there are instances where it does not. In that case, visit this web page. Scroll down a little, you will see a table of available USB drivers. In the Comments column, click on the link “setup executable”:

The “setup executable” link is more convenient than the drivers listed in the “x86” and “x64” columns because, when the program runs, it automatically places the USB driver files in the correct location.

Depending on your computer’s settings, you will likely need administrator privileges to perform this one-time installation.
