c–pod is small but packs a real punch. Its 32-bit microprocessor makes possible the following feature:
To send, say, a 10ms long event marker with other I/O devices, an app needs to raise the output line, wait 10ms, then lower the line. This adds timing uncertainty and makes the app more complex. With c–pod, you can deliver a 10ms marker while the app continues its work.
A truly unique feature: tell c–pod when to send pulses at a later time, e.g. to mark emotional points during a movie presentation.
Use c–pod as a signal generator on an output line or as a more complex pattern generator.
Researchers have relied on StimTracker since 2008 for detecting events and sending event markers via USB, a solution that costs $1295 to $1525. When you only need to send event markers via USB, c–pod offers that capability at a fraction of the cost.

c–pod requires the installation of a USB driver, a five minute task. Each c–pod model comes with the right connector size, gender, and pin assignments. This makes it straightforward to connect to your EEG, eye tracker, or other recording equipment.
There are two LED lights on c–pod. The one on the right (🁢) confirms a connection to the computer. The one on the left (▲) lights up every time an event marker is sent.
